Leadership Fellows Mentor Spotlight - 2/29/2016

Each week the College of Business and Public Policy will be highlighting a mentor in the Leadership Fellows program with an interview conducted by their protégé. This week’s featured protégé/mentor pairing is Adam Ward, who is pursuing his BBA in Logistics and Management, and his mentor, Linda Leary, who is a prolific entrepreneur here in Alaska.

Yuqi “Deric” Wang

First Student of the College of Business and Public Policy-Nankai 1+1 Program

Yuqi "Deric" Wang will be the first graduate student to gain both a master’s degree in China and an MBA here at the College of Business and Public Policy when he finishes the required coursework for UAA’s exchange partnership with Nankai University. Matt Williams, from Fishing Boat Captain to Bar Owner to BBA Degree

Matt Williams, owner of Brown Bear Saloon at Mile 103 of the Seward Highway, and a fresh College of Business and Public Policy graduate with a new degree in global logistics and supply chain management. He's pondering a future that means eventually selling the saloon and moving into a new job.

The College of Business and Public Policy's 2016 MBA Executive Leadership Class Speaker Series

The College of Business and Public Policy is pleased to announce the participants in MBA Executive Leadership Class Speaker Series. The class (BA A628) provides students with the opportunity to interact and network in a classroom setting with successful top executives from Anchorage’s business community.
