The General Education Requirements (GER) provide students with a common educational experience to (1) provide a foundation for further study, and (2) broaden the educational experience of every degree-seeking student. It promotes an elevation of the student's level in basic, college-level skills (Tier 1), a breadth of exposure to traditional academic disciplines (Tier 2), and experience in applying an education to understanding and responding to the evolving state of knowledge and the world in the 21st century (Tier 3).
Baccalaureate Degrees
Students seeking a Baccalaureate Degree are required to complete 37 credits of General Education Requirements (GER).
Associate of Applied Science Degrees
Students seeking an Associate Degree are required to complete 12 credits of General
Education Requirements. The recommended courses are listed below for the current catalog
