Terry Nelson

Biography

Dr. Nelson teaches leadership and organizational behavior courses. She has received several awards for teaching and service - 2017 Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (OBTS) New Educator Award, Outstanding UAA MBA Faculty Award as voted by the students and awarded by the MBA Student Association (2015, 2016), and recognized in 2017 at the 24th Annual Institute on Teaching and Mentoring as an inspiring teacher. For service, Dr. Nelson received the 2018 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence– Promoting Student Achievement for the CBPP Tom Case Leadership Fellows Program and 2016 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Community Engagement and Service category for her work with the CBPP and Clark Middle School Tom Case Leadership Fellows Junior Program. This partnership was also awarded the 2017 Anchorage School District Spirit of Tomorrow Award. She is currently a board member of the Girl Scouts of Alaska and Management Organizational Behavior Teaching Society.
