CBPP Professor Sandra G. Ehrlich presented “Marketing for Ongoing Success,” at a two-hour session for the The AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course is a 16-hour intensive program that provides an overview of skills, techniques, and program components for individuals with up to four years of fundraising experience. More than 30 fund development professionals attended the session. The course consists of seven modules designed by experienced professionals taught by local experienced fundraising professionals.

Professor Mouhcine Guettabi on Alaska's Economy
Alaska lost nearly 2,300 jobs—about 1% of all wages and salary jobs— from March 2014 through March 2016. But not all areas of the state and sectors of the economy lost jobs. In a new paper, Mouhcine Guettabi, assistant professor of economics at ISER, examines jobs losses statewide and by area and economic sector. This is the first in a series of short papers that will examine various economic and fiscal issues important to Alaska.

Leadership Fellows Mentor Interview - 11/20/2016
The College of Business and Public Policy's Leadership Fellows Program pairs high-performing CBPP students with a mentor in the Anchorage business community, giving students the opportunity to learn about real-world leadership from local business leaders. This year’s cohort includes 21 CBPP students, called protégés, and their mentors. To begin the program, each protégé interviewed their new mentor, and every week, we will feature one of these interviews with the mentors, who share their thoughts on leadership. Professor Frank Jeffries Discusses Gender Issues in Negotiation
Professor Frank Jeffries and Michelle Bergquist of Women Lead Radio have a candid discussion on gender issues. Frank has conducted research on gender issues in negotiation. He shares historical reasons why women continue to find challenges to succeed in a male-dominated world. They will discuss the findings of his research and how women can use this knowledge to leverage a woman’s innate strengths and abilities to advance.
