ISDS Students Win Honorable Mention for Their MIS Capstone Project

College of Business and Public Policy students Kyle Ekstrand and Brian Smith have gained some recognition for their MIS capstone project "UAA Maps". With a student ID, a student can log in and UAA Maps will show on a map that person’s class schedule and the location of his or her courses.

The College of Business and Public Policy Congratulates Cessilye Williams

Cessilye Williams, principal of Clark Middle School in Anchorage, has been named the Alaska Secondary School Principal of the Year by the Alaska Association of Secondary School Principals. Principal Williams has served as a principal for fifteen years, thirteen of which have been at Clark Middle School.

Nine CBPP students and their professors, Angie Zheng and Paul Johnson are in China for the class "Globalization and China Economy and Business". The course is a three-credit economics upper division elective. During their trip the students will be writing home, this is the latest postcard.

CBPP Economics Working Paper: The Impact of Social Information on the Voluntary Provision of Public Goods

In 2009 Shang and Croson found that providing information about the donation decisions of others can have a positive impact on individual donations to public radio. In this study, CBPP Professor James Murphy along with Nomin Batmunkh, Ben Nilsson, and Samantha Ray, attempted to replicate their results.
