Faculty & Student Seminar: Effects of Severance Tax on Economic Activity - Evidence from the Oil Patch

State governments often reassess and debate changes in severance tax rates on production, there are few empirical estimates of the relationship between drilling activity and severance taxes. Dr. Dale Manning helps fill this gap by estimating the responsiveness of drilling activity to changes in production severance taxes between 1986 and 2013.

Next summer she will be working for Planet Indonesia, assisting with the restructuring of PI’s community capital fund, a village level savings and loans program.
