The University of Alaska Foundation announced that Gunnar Knapp will receive the 2017 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. Knapp, professor emeritus of economics at the College of Business and Public Policy, will receive $10,000 for his significant contributions to the University of Alaska.

Terry Fields Recieves IREM 30 Under 30 Award

Terry Fields, Assistant Professor of Management and Marketing, recently received a 2017 Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) 30 Under 30 Award. Terry is the Program Director for the Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program at the College of Business and Public Policy. He works closely with industry partners to grow the program while attracting students, preparing them for careers in real estate management, and rewarding them with placement opportunities and fast track opportunities to earn valuable industry credentials. He is an active member of IREM and encourages all of his students to take advantage of the networking and resources IREM has to offer members. Terry also serves on IREM’s Student and Academic Outreach Advisory Board playing an important role in identifying strategies to engage students and professors in IREM.
