September 12, 2024
Aurora, the AI Robotic Dog

Guests attending the UAA College of Business and Public Policy’s annual Showcase event on Friday, October 4, will learn how artificial intelligence (AI) is being used in everything from F-16 fighter jets to genomics, healthcare, infrastructure and employee training. Leading AI experts in industry, government and research have been invited to present practical examples of AI in business during 30 minute sessions.

The Showcase is a popular CBPP event that began in 2022. “We developed the Showcase after the pandemic, to bring the community together in celebration of the truly amazing programs we offer,” said Interim Dean Dr. Terry Nelson. “A lot of people don’t know that we host an Artificial Intelligence Lab in Rasmuson Hall, or that many of our professors are incorporating AI into their courses.”
