WPM+RE Award Recipients Announced

The Weidner Property Management and Real Estate Program (WPM+RE) presented $54,000 in travel and academic awards to 23 students during a celebration luncheon on March 24. Chancellor Parnell welcomed the group and kicked off the awards ceremony, which was attended by students, Advisory Board members, and alumni.
The awards are made possible with a generous contribution from Weidner Apartment Homes. Some provide assistance with student tuition, while others give students the opportunity to travel to major industry events, including the 2023 NAA APARTMENTALIZE Conference in Atlanta and the 2023 IREM Global Summit in Toronto.
“It was so great to be back in-person for these awards, and to share these moments with our students and industry partners,” said Terry Fields, associate professor and program director. “This year's recipients are such a fun and impressive group of students, with a wide range of experience in the WPM+RE Program. It is a pleasure to see them rewarded for their hard work, and I am excited to see their continued progress in this program and the real estate industry moving forward.”
