Intro to Extractive Resources Law (BA A490A)

Dr. Clayton Trotter

A survey course concerning oil and gas law in Alaska. Explores property rights, production contracts and oil and gas litigation. Topics include environmental remediation of oilfield sites, federal and state regulation of the oil and gas industry, mineral royalty disputes, deep-water exploration and production, and natural gas production.


Dispute Resolution (PADM A640)

Dr. Steve Konkel

Reviews literature and principles of dispute resolution. Focuses on negotiation, mediation, and consensus building as ways to resolve individual conflicts, group conflicts, and public disputes.
Registration restrictions: Graduate standing or permission of instructor
