Samantha LubanAlumna Samantha Luban Heading to London!

Samantha Luban, B.B.A. in Economics with a minor in Russian '17, will be attending the London School of Economics this Fall. She attributes much of her success to her time at the College of Business and Public Policy. While attending CBPP, she worked for the college in the Vernon Smith Economic Science Laboratory, which gave her exposure to top professors working on meaningful research. This experience “opened countless doors and led me to my current job at the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation.”

Samantha spent her junior year of college studying abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia. “Living abroad, in part, inspired my decision to further my education in the field of international economic development.” She will be pursuing a MsC in Development Economics, after which she hopes to apply what she's learned to the economies of real developing nations.
