Inside the Boardroom of an Alaska Native Organization - March 31 and April 7

Inside the Boardroom of an Alaska Native Organization Class - March 31 and April 7. Last year we had 8 of the 12 chairs of the Alaska Native Regional Corporations for the Chairman's Panel. This year we hope to have all 12 Regionals. The Chairman's panel takes place April 7 from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and includes lunch.

Curtis McKillop is chasing the Dresser Cup—awarded to a graduating athlete at UAA with the highest GPA. Curtis will graduate in May with a degree in management and marketing, and a concentration in real estate and property management.

First Student Completes the Minor in Alaska Native Business Management

The College of Business and Public Policy is pleased to announce the graduation of Amanda Sagmoen, the first student to complete the minor in Alaska Native Business Management. Amanda is a Fall 2016 BBA Finance graduate. She is the first student to complete this 18 credit minor.

Congratulations to Term Assistant Professor Sharon Guenther Lind

Congratulations to Term Assistant Professor Sharon Guenther Lind, who was elected to serve as Chairman of The Aleut Corporation (TAC) on October 17, 2016. Sharon has served in various positions on the Board and with the TAC since 1993, including Chairman from 2006 - 2011. The Aleut Corporation is one of the twelve Alaska Native regional corporations that were established under the Alaska Natives Claims Settlement Act (ANSCA) in 1971. The Aleut region covers the area from Sand Point to Attu at the end of the Aleutian Chain and the Pribilofs.
