Sharon has served in various positions on the Board and with the TAC since 1993, including Chairman from 2006 - 2011. The Aleut Corporation is one of the twelve Alaska Native regional corporations that were established under the Alaska Natives Claims Settlement Act (ANSCA) in 1971. The Aleut region covers the area from Sand Point to Attu at the end of the Aleutian Chain and the Pribilofs.

Ms. Lind earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and a minor in Mathematics at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon and her Master of Business Administration at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is pursuing her PhD at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Professor Lind is responsible for creating the College of Business and Public Policy’s Alaskan Native Business Management minor which prepares students for a unique segment of business in Alaska. The minor is for Alaska Native and non-Native students alike who plan to live and work in Alaska. Alaska Native corporations are an economic force in the state of Alaska and there is a need for business professionals to be educated in the culture and management practices of these dynamic organizations.
